Don't get your boat serviced at Brinkmans in Grass Lake. My buddy took his boat there for winterization and winter storage. When he started it up, water gushing from the block. It wasn't properly drained and had froze up and cracked the block. He has been having his boat winterized and stored there for 11 yrs. He dropped it off on a verbal last fall, didn't get a written work order. When it went back to talk to them, they told him it was his problem and not theirs.

 G & L Game Ranch - A+

If your looking for a canned pheasant hunt or better yet a tower shoot, I can recommend the G&L Game Ranch in Jackson County. Their phone is 517-596-2459. I've never been a fan of pay to hunt but with the lack of wild pheasants, it's getting to be the only way to have a strong chance of bagging some, unless you have access to the few pockets of good wild populations still left. I've done a field hunt in the fall with them and a winter tower shoot and both were a blast, reasonably priced and more fun than I expected. The tower shoot was the best. This will be a once or twice a year treat for me going forward. A good way to get a young dog or kid in front of some birds.

 Tim's Chimney Service
« Result #10 on Jan 27, 2005, 11:04pm »

After years of hating my conventional fireplace, because all it did was warm the room its in and make the rest of the house cold and the furnace run, I had a wood burning fireplace insert installed. Tim's Chimney Service in Saginaw, MI did the installation, basically its like a wood stove that slides into the fireplace opening. This thing really works. Burning wood, mostly oak, has heated my house steady for about 2 weeks. The furnace rarely kicks on anymore, even during these sub zero nights. Its got a blower on it that sucks in room air and circulates it around the outside of the firebox and blows hot air back into the room. Its a Regency model, built in Canada with a lifetime warranty. Anyway Tim gave me a good deal and a real professional install. Plus the he installed a stainless steel insulated chimney liner, no more worries about cracks/leaks out of the masonry chimney and its real easy to clean. Lookin forward to lower heating bills from now on. So if you like to burn wood but got a fireplace that you never use cuz it sucks all the warm air from your house and out the chimney, these inserts are about as efficient as a wood stove and provide a lot of heat for the house.
